soulmate

I know I've never met you
and possibly never will
but at this very moment
I have plenty of time to kill
I sit here wondering who you could be
and wondering to myself if you will ever find me.
Everyday I see a new face wondering if it's you
talking to a new possibility thinking can this be true.
I sometimes wonder if mayber you were early,
or if maybe you are late
perhaps my search would be easier
If only I were straight
Then I think to myself that statement isn't true
and I know when the time is right
that's when I will find you

I really like this one. Some of your other poems were a little thin to me, nice but kinda skimmed the surface. But this...you really nailed it. The ultimate search. Great work.

An old man once gave me this answer when I asked him if I would ever find 'Ms. Right'...'No. She'll find you. That's why she's Ms. Right.'
