Armageddon
'It's Coming! It will hit us in about ten minutes; so gather up your loved one's and god bless your souls.
This is Dan Jones saying goodbye and farewell.'
I am gathered in my living room with my family. All over the world people are gathered with their loved ones; waiting for the world that they have come to know, come to an end. The news broadcast is over. I reach over and grab the remote so that I may turn off the television. With silence surrounding me, I gaze around the room at the family I have come to love in the past and I wonder if there will be a place for us in the future. I am crying as I gaze around the room. The tears are warm and wet as they pour from my eyes and run down my cheeks like great rivers. I see my eldest sister crying as her and her husband try and comfort their baby boy, telling him everything will be alright. My little sister tries to crawl into my mothers lap for comfort and protection against the journey that awaits us. My father sits beside my mother, cradling the two of them like a great protective shield. I am sitting in between my dearest Mathew's legs, with his arms wrapped tightly around me. He leans towards my face to give me one last kiss and to tell me that he loves me. He is crying also, I can taste his tears on my lips. As he gives me one final kiss, I tell him I love him also and that I will never stop loving him even if our souls become separated. Time is almost up. We have only thirty seconds to live. My mother motions for us to come closer so that we may die together in a group, as one. I am hugging my Mathew as I tell everyone that I love them and that we may meet again. It hit us. The whole world has come to an end. As our mortal bodies are lying under all that debris, dead and unmoving; we still remain as a group, as one. Floating towards the heavens, where we shall start our new lives together.
