Asking the Sin Fairy
The Seven Deadly Sins Fairy, not exactly the nicest of all the fairies on the council, but she still had friends. At least, that's what the Pirate Fairy was constantly telling her. She didn't really care to be honest; she had some sort of respect of all the fairies, though the degree varied with the Fairy.
Today was a rather slow day for the Sin Fairy, as she was known due to her long name, either that or she was being lazy. But she wasn't one for laziness, so it was a slow day in her eyes, and anyway, she had been working hard all week at what she did. Today she decided she would spend at home in hopes of getting some rest and taking a break from dealing with people and their sins.
Returning to her home in the deep shadows would be the most enjoyable part of her day, as she would soon learn.
Once home she set her scythe near the door and her jacket on the coat rack next to her weapon. Grabbing a glass from the kitchen and a bottle of red wine she headed into the den, one of her favorite rooms. In the den was a high backed, red satin arm chair in front of a large fireplace. All the walls of this room were lined with books from all over the world, from all times, in all languages. She had read them all twice.
Sitting down and pouring a glass of wine, the Sin Fairy took a moment to take in the quiet of the room. As if it had a life of its own the fireplace sparked into a blaze and a book gently flew from the shelf to rest gently on her lap. Breathing a sigh she set the glass of wine on the table next to her chair and reached to open the book.
"HELLO!"
Came the yelling voice of the Pirate Fairy.
"Oh no'¦."
Sighed the Sin Fairy. Rolling her eyes she looked around the room for the Pirate Fairy. Looking up she saw the Pirate Fairy sitting on the high back of the chair. Looking down she gave the Sin Fairy a Huge stupid grin.
"What do you want this time Pirate Fairy?"
She asked the offending fairy, wondering why she insisted on being in her house of all places, and right now for that matter.
"Well, the Reflector Fairy said-"
" Oh no! I am not answering anything he told you to ask me about!"
The Sin Fairy yelled, getting up and stepping away from the other Fairy so she could get a better look at her.
"Aw, come on'¦ it's not bad I promise!"
Complained the smaller fairy. She gave the Seven Sins Fairy the puppy dog eyes attack while she tried to convince the other fairy to answer the question that wasn't asked yet.
"Alright, let's here i-"
"What's a boobie?!"
The Pirate Fairy asked before the Sin Fairy could finish her statement.
"I knew it! Why does he always send you to me with the anatomy questions?!"
She yelled, asking the question to no one in particular.
"What's Anatomy?"
The Pirate Fairy asked, still sitting happily on the back of the chair.
"You have about five seconds to leave before I kill you and the Reflector Fairy. Actually, I'm going to kill him anyway."
She said, turning to take a seat. Holding up her hand she began to count off her fingers, starting on five and slowly going down to one.
"Fine, fine! I get it! I'm going!"
Said the little fairy before flying off out of the Sin
Fairy's house.
Once she was sure the Pirate Fairy was gone the Sin Fairy relaxed in her chair again, taking a sip from her wine glass to calm her nerves. Once again she reached to open the book and actually got to open its cover this time without incident. With a smile she propped the book up to read.
"You still didn't answer my question'¦"
"Your dead!"
Yelled the Sin Fairy at the Pirate fairy, leaping from her chair to give chase after the smaller fairy. The Reflector Fairy would come later for this.
