It's Hard to be Human

It's hard to be human,
with no control over your own thoughts.
It's hard to be mortal,
who's greatest fear is that of it's own mortality.
It's hard to be female,
when the men are the only ones with authority.
It's hard to think,
when there are so many restrictions to what you think.
It's hard to be human,
who's only crime, was trying to live free.

please don't take offense, i've enjoyed reading your work but i think this poem could do with being revised. i know what you're trying to do-- to conjure up the difficulties between trying to live & distinguish between what's going on inside too but there's a couple of points here that just don't make sense.

firstly, you are the only one who controls your own thoughts. your thoughts are what makes you. secondly, why fear mortality, it is the only certainty in this life, embrace being here on a holiday. there are no restrictions to what you can think, the Only one whoi can ever limit you is yourself, & human nature has many crimes other than merely trying to live free. sorry. as i say, i like what you're trying to do, but i think it could do with revising slightly, better to be honest...

But you aren't mortal. Stupid Sin Fairy... doesn't even know she can't die. Why haven't you ever shown me any of these poems? It makes me sad. This is really depressing... :cries:
