Of Midnight Dreams...
Here in the smoke and shadows I see you,
A flaming goddess of love, my goddess of love,
I feel your breath on my neck draining away my doubt,
The sweet surrender, which you call for, is given freely,
I can taste your breath in the wind,
The burning fire of love ignites the walls around us,
The thunder crackles in the pale-lit moonlight outside the open window,
Clouds surrounding us, but quickly burnt away in fiery embrace,
You kiss me with a fire, which cannot be contained,
Hold me close and tell me everything will be okay,
I feel more than safe here in your arms,
The night skies gleam with silver-gray hope and love,
At once I am confronted by the fact that I am here with you,
You are no longer a phantom wraith of my dreams that leaves me,
I see your eyes in the darkness, casting charms into my own,
Taking in your fragrance of honey and clover, intoxication of love,
I feel you quivering next to me, but you are not cold or scared,
I feel your warm skin against mine and I know it is real,
Without touch or feeling I know that you love me deeply,
I can feel it in your chest, such a soft fire of a heartbeat,
A cloud of smoke from your cigarette smells only of you,
I take in its potion and its fragrance; I sleep next to you,
Then the morning light comes streaming through the curtains,
I turn to see your beautiful face, but an empty bed only greets me,
The pillow I was clinging to all night; reminding me of my dreams.
