The Migration

I've abandoned what makes sense
for what the senses make'

left lovers on irregular words.

Yesterday monarchs passed through right to left'
a series of brown leaves into the wind
falling.

Today they're gone, the birds following.
Only the crushed wing in the parking lot
flutters.

And these things that the senses make in us
were likewise right to leave.

Flowing, my dear.

A piece that find logic in digressions. Some novel images here:

Today theyâ??re gone, the birds following.
Only the crushed wing in the parking lot
flutters.

When I have time, I would love to read your pieces closely.

I really enjoyed this, it's quite enigmatic in places. The structure works well, and the simplicity of the language gives this a strength and conviction. I particularly like these lines:

'Yesterday monarchs passed through right to leftâ??
a series of brown leaves into the wind
falling.'
