The Unvarnished Soul

Conformity seems to rule our seas
The truth has vanished from today's culture
Hidden under the ads who will find me
Those who fit in, play the role of vultures
Birds of prey that refuse to go away
The only way out would be to give in.
Don't give up, or listen to what they say
Watch as they die indulging in their sins.
Remember that you are the greatest threat
Because you've found yourself unlike the rest.
Water symbolizes hope and you're wet
Don't allow who you are to be repressed.
Of course, the vultures will be on patrol
Draw from the strength of your unvarnished soul

I agree this is a good piece of work but I also believe that it stands better without the water line.

This is great. I agree about the line with you're wet. I think a little stronger word would be better. Very well written and very deep. I really enjoyed it.

Very nice. I think you should change this line:
Water symbolizes hope and youâ??re wet
To me it weakens a piece that otherwise is quite good.
Comment on some of my work if you want,

This is great. I love it. Great metaphore. Good message and a lot of lyricism.
