Chichester

the rain won't stop.
it reminds me what i am.
the same as the leaves
beneath my feet.
and it keeps me grounded,
finds me better after,
because i could swear it sounded
something like laughter
smiling at this short mortality
dripping death gently into me,
reminding me what i am.
