looking out my window

Stood looking out my window
Out across the sea
Boats bobbing in the water
In tranquil harmony

I peer out from this vantage point
Across the fields and bay
Wondering where it is you stand
Why you make me feel this way

From here I almost see you
An outstretched arm away
When I try to hold you
You turn the other way

I lean against a sullen wall
Wondering where I've been
Living out this nightmare
Awake me from my screams

My eyes filled with remorse
Cold water on my cheeks
I see your house upon the hill
Shouting out to me

It calls me like nights beacon
Steering lost ships home
If I'd known this would be the outcome
Feet never would have roamed
