"All That I Am"
I am the jubilist
Revelling in merriment;
I am the costly urbanite
Laboring to pay the rent;
I am the destitute,
Helpless as the indigent;
I am the desolate,
Rambling, fateful, fervent.
I am a loving follower,
Menial and masterful,
I am a dusty replica,
An occupant of a domicile;
I am the magic eulogist,
Hedging at an enigma,
I am the sphinx and riddle,
Waward as an aria.
Garnet of a gathering,
Destiny of Hercules;
Grimacing at a grievance,
Fending off a quick-freeze.
Fortune may follow me--
Others might halt and wonder--
There is SO MUCH that I am
They could rend assunder!
