Consistent Characters.
You know what I'm sayin'? Okay...so I've had this batch of characters since, like, the sixth grade. Started out as four, added another one a couple years later...and they've all stuck with me. My friends and I, back in middle school, used to draw "comics" together - one would draw a couple of frames, pass it on, the other would draw a couple...you get the idea - and we each had our own cast. Although those days are long gone, I still have this little crew...starting out around the same age as I (11-12), they're now college students.
For years I've evolved them, sketched them out, wrote short stories about 'em here and there (which, like 90% of the comics, were never completed); through this process, I've had years to tweak them, uncover subtle nuances about their personality, and let them grow and develop freely. Does anyone else keep characters like this? They're almost a part of me now. It's so tempting to use the same crew in every story I write (y'know, like the same set of actors in different movies)...y'know my one upload, "Jenna's Struggle"? Yeah - Jenna's m'girl, definitely one of my originals (and, if you must know, Brad was my friend's character back in the day, lolol). Maybe I'll give you more info on 'em later...for now, see ya! ^_^
