Spin.

You've really got me in a bit of a spin,
Funny when we meet, I'm lost for words, not knowing exactly what to say, or how to begin?
Remembering what you first said to me on those texts,
I'd like to think things could change... if not, your wishes I respect.

I am trying to work out your ideal type,
Amidst all the laughter, banter and hype,
I'm thinking he's a bad boy, all of the things I'm not,
Hopefully you can see beyond this, and give 'Dan the Poet' a shot?

Each and every time that we meet,
You make me laugh out loud with your funny stories, including the one with your mate on that DFS electric seat.
Will I ever get to sample a cup of your fine PG Tips tea, or your healing hands?
Followed swiftly by my cooking that I learn't at the weekends whilst hanging around with my nan.

I'm still buzzing on life now and all in a spin,
Induced by red wine, wild rocket, you, is this the point where the romance begins?
I'm so looking forward to the next time we meet,
More wining and dining, I like you, your so very lovely and sweet!

by Dan Sheridan

Sheridanâ??s writing is wrenching, tortured and bleakly vivid. Sheridanâ??s poems dwell upon violence, death and the devil. He frequently places searingly modern issues and events within a traditional rhyme scheme. The poems in this book contain highly emotionally charged content...
