I agree with gregoryhall that its mighty powerful and only 34 words! Great piece... very dark and sad... but it was still a good read for me, nonetheless :) Keep it up- I can't wait to read more of your work.

I had a girlfriend that gave up on life. After 3 yrs of fighting her suicidal goals, I couldn't take it anymore. She used to say all the time, Save yourself. Leave me here/alone. I finally did.
I don't think about her much nowadays. But you took me right back to her and that time 20 yrs ago. That's power.
