part 3 - "stuck on some god forsaken rock"
Battling through the flurry of snow, he caught another glimpse of the individual off to his left. And, like a game of tag they continued for a further hour. The individual appearing, then disappearing into the vastness that Jack could no longer envisage. Struggling against the tide of white wind, his legs began to give way under him. Again and again, he struggled, never quite knowing where he was, the only thing keeping him rooted in reality was the transitory glimpses of another human being.
Eventually to Jacks surprise, the individual stopped dead and disappeared. Screaming out, hey! Where did you go? he heard nothing, just his voice reverberating off the vastness around him. The sun was beginning to become visible over head now, and from this, he pressed on the direction he though it had gone.
Keep thinking of home and I will be fine. He repeated this to himself over and over, like a mantra. At that juncture, he noticed the individual had stopped. He made a desperate struggle towards the thing, or person. He couldn't be sure it was human at this point, and after running toward it, the snowstorm increased greatly. So much so that the sun was blocked out and a veil of grey fell upon the surrounding area.
Keep thinking of home and everything will be fine, keep thinki'¦what in blazes!? Jack had this good ability in which he could sense a change in his luck. Perhaps it was from years of lost chess matches, card games and betting that, he had hoped, had given him a fine tuning for the luck wave. Either way, he stopped frozen, a fission going down his already fissioning back. He turned, slowly around. It would seem that everything, culminated in this moment.
From nowhere a tiger, bright and with its brow furrowed, leap onto Jack with ease. Everything went black'¦Jack! For god sake Jack! I wish you wouldn't shout in your dreams like that, you scared me half to death, not to mention the kids! What was it about anyway?
