Forgotten

Have you forgotten
The night we danced
The night we spun
My skirt flowing
At my knees?

Have you forgotten
The night you held me
The night you begged
For me never
To leave?

Have you forgotten
The night I cried
The night I said
You were my
Everything?

Have you forgotten
The magic and beauty,
The comfort and wonder
That once was us?

I haven't.
And I never will.

I certainly agree with others comments on this, and more in that there is a depth of raw emotion that translates through the imagery! Well done for that!

Thanks, I was stuck on that, but I think that would help. Thanks a lot for the advice.

The imagery does paint a perfect picture. It flows nicely until the fourth stanza. Perhaps putting these together i.e. The magic and beauty; The confort and wonder; and ending the stanza with "That once was us." It would make if flow much smoother. it is a nicely written work.
