being homeless

Being Homeless

I am bruised & broken
tattered & torn
No where to go
no place to call home

I've been down on my luck
tossed out like the trash
pushed aside by many
and I have no cash

I am hating to beg... but
my heart does bleed
I'm no different than you
wont you stop my tragedy

Stop and look around
I'm not the only one
there's so many of us
who can't make it, you see

because we're broken & bruised
tattered and torn
been tossed out like the trash
or left so forlorn.

This is a thought provking look at the homeless problem. I have seen so many treat the homeless like criminals, while many are just the victims of circumstance. Only one thing; Last two lines "been tossed out like the trash; or left so forlorn" maybe "and left so forlorn" only because they are both; not actually either/or. Very nice read, thanks.
