1 - The Magician
Manifestation of potent power
Magickal wand in a masterful hand
Seeing beyond the illusion is grand
The fool climbed the unclimbable tower
The magician sleeps with one eye open,
Guarding the prestige with a wicked smile,
Slip of the hand and a masculine guile,
Focus is clear and spirit unbroken.
Master of sparks who swallows the flame,
Alchemical proof evolving inside
Where absolute truth can no longer hide
Never revealing the tricks of his trade
Tapping the well-springs of infinite right
The magician leads us into the light.

The magician in each of us, your local pharmacist....heh, just kidding. I agree with Gary's thinking there, that we need a little magic in our lives. But in a sense, magic is what drives us everyday in life - amazing things happen, and sometimes we forget in lieu of them, we still have good things to remember. But I compare also a magician to be one who can institute his wit when the time calls.

Nice stuff - just one mistake I could see it should be Magical, not magickal.

I thoroughly enjoyed this poem. The imagery used is striking and clear. It seems to have many levels. On one hand it gives an insightful description of the card and on the other hand it says so much more about being or meeting an inspirational person.

I may be digging too deep, but it seems like you're talking about the power that one may have over another because of having knowledge and/or ability that is seemingly unattainable by the ignorant (climber). Good Work. Write on!

We all need magic in our lifes and I found this kinda inspiring. I like the idea of the unclimbable tower - would I be the fool to climb into it? Interesting thoughts.....
