Dreams To Fruition...Perhaps I
I write my dreams down, and I always tell someone about them ever since my own car wreck. I had dreamt it about a year before it happened, though I usually have little ones that don't seem to make sense more often.
Some years later I had another one that scared me. It was about my sister being in a wreck with her friends who were helping her move house. In the dream it was dark out and they were driving fast, the front passenger tire came off of her truck on the highway and flipped the truck. I saw all of her belongings flying and strewn about the road. I woke when I saw her lying still on the ground looking at me with blood in her eyes.
It was about two in the morning and I called my mother right then, I was so scared. She said 'Sh*t!' and hung up on me. I thought that she was angry that I had called at that hour, but she had immediately called Meo, my sister, who is a bartender and who was just getting off of work at that hour. I guess they started to believe me after my wreck. Meo, who is always cool as a cucumber called me back from the bar about twenty minutes later and her voice was shaking. I have never heard her like that. She said that Mom had told her my dream and made her go check her tires. She and her friend found that her front passenger side tire was only attached by one bolt, which was loose. It looked like someone was trying to steal it. But the weirdest thing was that Meo and her friend were moving her stuff over to her new apartment that morning after work. Her truck was already loaded.
Another time, our family were all together having a cookout for Easter dinner. It was a little different because I was awake. That is the only time it has happened when I was awake.
I heard my brother Fred scream my name, and I felt like I could not breathe. I was awake but I saw a flash of water swirling over my head. Mom shook me and said "What's wrong!". I asked, 'Where's Fred?', and told her what had just happened. She gasped and ran into the house to call the Sheriff and everyone asked what happened. I told them and was, of course, given the 'you're nuts' look.
Mom came back later and said that Fred had almost drowned. He had gone with his friends' family to do some repelling and had fallen into the water below the rocks. Fred can't swim, and his friend, who is half Freds' size, knew my brother was going to drown and dived off the cliff to get to him and pull him out. Fred was thrashing so much that he hurt Ray pretty badly. When Fred got home Mom told him what I saw, and Fred said that he had been calling for me. He said that his mind was stuck calling his big sister for help, even though he was underwater miles away. I couldn't have helped him even had I been there, I can't swim either.
