The Circus ©
The circus is a wonderful place,
where children love to go.
To see the clowns and animals,
that are all on show.
The big top is fantastic,
the ringmaster, looking smart.
The children sitting there in awe,
for the circus acts to start.
Clowns come out and run around
and throw things at the crowd.
With all their silly antics,
the children laugh out loud.
Some they have red noses.
running round the ring with chairs.
some have baggy trousers,
others have funny hair.
The elephants sit on boxes
and walk about the ring.
The lions look so scary,
as they roar, to say "I'm King."
Trapeze artists climb the rope,
climbing high, to get their swings.
They swing about back and forth
and fly like they have wings.
They have a net below them,
in case one of them may fall.
It is a saftey measure,
that is sensible to install.
The tightrope walkers are the same
as they walk too and fro.
The wire is very narrow
and are careful as they go.
The jugglers are amazing,
they like to juggle balls.
They catch with fine precision
and never let them fall.
The circus is for children
and adults to enjoy.
It fills them up with happiness
and brings them lots of joy.
