Yesterday - 55 Word Challenge
'Yesterday' has apparently had more cover versions made of it than any other song. Paul McCartney was convinced that he'd unconsciously plagiarised the tune from someone else at first. In my opinion, I think it's perfect - musically and lyrically. A haunting testament to lost love.
I just can't believe it's working title was 'Scrambled Eggs'.

>>This is definitely 55 words, not 60. Count 'em! > lol Gareth, don't get me started. Bravo for taking the challenge (& for providing some interesting cultural history) Ash ;)

yesterday is a perfect song, so is Imagine, and they come from the same stable. Indeed, thepiece is 55 words, The computer has probably counted the quotation marks and that little hyphen between perfect and musically.

As a Beatles fan I know this information well. You hit the essence of "Yesterday" perfectly. Scrambled eggs is for breakfast, not a song title! lol
