Have you ever?

Have you ever watched a merry din,
Feeling alone in a crowded room?
Or felt like crumbling deep within,
While laughing loud, like a silly goon?

Have you watched a maiden sing,
And watched the bright full moon?
And felt a tear beneath your chin
As you hid away your gloom?

Have you felt your heart get split
As you appeared to be aloof?
Have you felt like a fading myth,
With the life in you removed?

Have you tried a liar's grin
And faltered in a sullen droop?
Have you been in love too deep,
And let a bride steal your groom?
