Goodbye my friend

Hush...
Dont speak...
Let me talk...
You at least owe me that...

Its been so long since we talked
We used to be such good friends
Our nights turned into mornings
Strangers who met turned to sisters

You taught me so much
How to care
how to be myself
how to be the biggest backstabber

I cried you laughed...
I screamed you joked...
I started to drink my life away
You didnt try to stop me

Now your asking for my forgivness
Do you honestly think I should
Just forget everything you did
How you weren't there for me
How you hurt me in ways no one else did

You wrote me this long apology letter
Saying you need me more than ever
If I come to your rescue
How am I supposed to be sure
You'd be by my side

I've said all i had to say
So please stay gone
Everyone says maybe i'll be better off without you
I say so far I am

Ashley, wow. The pain and regret in this piece is really powerful. I liked this line: "how to be the biggest backstabber."
