Bittersweet Memories

The crumpled bedspread, now only an evidence,
My cheek stained red, reducing my resistance,
An aroma in the bathroom, a feel to cherish,
A beer-bottle and a perfume, a taste I relish.

And now...
Those sweet memories..
I hold on to them tight and live again the nights,
Sweet memories..
I think and become insane and creeps over the pain,
Oh, bittersweet memories..

On the floor, the rose trampled,
My solitary heart, bed-dazzled,
As I think of..
Those sweet memories..

I hold on to them tight and live again the nights,
Sweet memories..
I think and become insane and creeps over the pain,
Oh, bittersweet memories..

Those bittersweet memories..

Oh.. these bittersweet memories of me and you..
Oh honey come back..
I'll show you I love you you....

Oh memories..

These bittersweet memories...

If that was nostalgia, of your life in 10th, then worth a praise..

"Blue Water Baptism"

by Kimberley Linstruth-Beckom

"Blue Water Baptism" is my second collection of poems ranging in topic from views on death, God, friendships, and society. These poems were written in the course of ten years and show the "20-something" state of mind that transitions into a "30-something" mentality.
