AwaKening (draft 2)

to love you
(to tell you so)
is to live in a day
that doesn’t break;
a foreign fear that
vows no vengeance;
to find balance within
this mere existence
(marvel at merry)
encapsulating
every slight stirring
time
ran
out
- revolutionary thought -

Happy New Year Louis-- this is a compact puzzle that reads like a heart under seige ( foreign, vengeance, revolutionary, break etc ). Makes me wonder why balance is being sought and what the narrator is awakening to/from, like a thawing out between lovers after a fight. Interesting as ever! Ash :D

I don't think this poem will ever leave me satisfied.... Maybe it is time to let go...

I see the potential of a good poem here, Louis. A bit enigmatic to me at this point, but certainly food for thought. I like the sound of the words you've used here.

I note this is a translation, which I imagine must be damn tough to try! 'Encrusting' is an odd word, note really one that holds romantic connotations anyway. Do you mean something like smudging or dirtying? Also, I think 'its' shopuld be it's, as in 'it is so'?
