Vermin

Through statements as loaded as rat traps
I make my escape

Retreating into the narrow
hallways of my mind while you
scurry along in
ignorant darkness.

You'll eat your own young
carrying the plague as a designer handbag

And on delicate silk you've
pissed and gnawed

No more wanted by man
Than that which you have destroyed.

Vermin is pretty raw and I think this is a cool vibe. one that allows readers to take it or leave it.

WOW! Very visual. It's rare for me to love every line in a poem, but this poem accomplishes that!
the one that hit me the most was 'statements as loaded as rat traps' hit me in the head and the solar plexus.
