Pan

A sonnet.

"I ask you now, my dearest Heart
A' fore I drown in sorrow
That you did not so soon depart
To dance upon the morrow

For when the Piper came a 'dancing
To lure you far beyond this realm
Not once cast you a thought of chancing
To know strong oak or silver elm

For that Queen Mab she did desire
That never once again should I kiss
Your pure snow neck or locks of fire,
To know of such ambrosial bliss.

Haunt and spite did steal you away
I should've known such beauty could not stay."

I think that you could add to this.

The line 'That never once again should I kiss' seems a bit long.

Thanks so much! I've actually been considering turning it into a sort of ballad; though I fear taking away from it.
