Naked In Front Of Strangers
Sooner or later,
whether it's
in a doctor's surgery,
on stage
drunk
in front of people you've never met before
(and hope you'll never see again),
in a dream in which you realise
you're not only unclothed,
but late for an exam that makes no sense to you,
invigilated by your long-dead grandmother,
or on a slab
with all your organs
stuffed in jars
and a coroner's hands
rummaging
through your last meal,
we all find ourselves
naked in front of strangers.

A though provoking piece no doubt. It makes one think of how we try to hide ourselves behind all kinds of facades and in the end, we are stripped bare of them all.
Well written. Thanks for the read. |

| Very insightful and well written. And very true, as well. We all end up naked in some way at some point and you've put that idea into words very well. Thank you for sharing, I liked it a lot. Take care. |
