A poem for my daughter

From the moment of conception
I felt you were there.
Snuggled in my abdomen.
It didn't take long to become clear.

In the cold Madinan air, it was my first year.
And the vomiting started to share.
My belly was empty it was Ramadawn
I fasted from dawn to dusk only to vomit it all up.

Delicious orange juice I tasted it twice
Going down and back out again.
Fish was like bitter gall out of the sea.
Food in general was a misery to me
But despite it all I enjoyed the thought
Of becoming a mommy!

nice, well written.. i realized im the only male to read this :( very sad. It's probably because it is mostly meant to be for women and only women would probably enjoy this. But anyway, as a teenager, I think the love of the mom and childrn is the most strongest ever except with the love of God that is if you believe in one which you should... I'm talking too much so.. nice work keep it up ;)

This is precious and funny at the same time. I love it. Except I think it's Dawn to Dusk. Oh how this brought back memories. I had morning sickness every day, all day for the first trimester. *Blech*

this is very precious--sigh! i think the contrast of the combination of physical discomfort and overwhelming joy is one of the things that makes pregnancy so incredible. you've captured this very well and added a bit of the wonder in this miracle of life. thanks for posting!

Oh my, I also wrote a poem about my daughter, and the feeling of knowing who she was even before she was born, as mother's we go through so much to bring our children in this world, and would do it all over again.i like this one,I also threw up orange juice, and it burned horribly coming back up, so I know what you mean. The only part I did not get was better Gall, is it supposed to be bitter Gall?
