Boys to Canine

I look from my warmest grave

Seeing my face inscribed on a copper coin;

'captured my worst big head, I see'

the flip side reveals the national symbol of

my puny life:

a dog---lazy and fine

kept as a plate in the hands of my

homeless fathers;

boys to canines for sure

rib laden and mangy.

Ridiculing a steady ant---

Smiling intermingled with barking

Growling intermingled with snorting'¦

Flea bitten and pure like nothing is

Worth licking
