Rescue me

I am a prisoner,
Trapped within my burning self.

I cry from upstairs windows,
Fire crackles beyond the glazing.

Smoke tires me,
Each breath takes me closer to escape,
But I would like to stay this time.

Rescue me.

There is a deep heart cry that comes out from your words. I wanted to reach out into the poem and hold the person tightly to convey friendship and empathy. I hope this person finds someone to hold them and love them.
