Conversation With My Inner Demons pt1

It has been said time and time again that my writing is along the lines of greatness-Yet I hold back on what I truly wish to share because of my fear of giving too much of self and feeling bare-As naked as new born life and fragile from rejection-I pray that the winds change and bless me with hope-Let the beautiful rays from the sun shine down on me so that I can cope-I truly suffer for my art knowing that at any giving time just like so many other great misunderstood writers before me I could very well die-Fade out of the public eye before I could even get there-Become a distant memory before I could even share what I've always wanted to share.....me

Great piece...feel the same way sometimes when I write. A writer from the 11th century once said:

I shared my troubles with a friend
for a moment I felt relief
But then it became like fireflies in the night

Its so true. Once you put it out there...for a brief moment you feel great relief, then the vulnerability comes in then you feel exposed and open.
