Nancy's phone message #4

Hello Rob'¦Hi this is Nancy calling you. Your'e never gonna believe who I ran into this morning! It's your dear wife Claudia'¦She and I decided you know..."by gons be by gons"'¦ you know, "a dirty bird shits in its own nest"'¦you know'¦"an apple doesn't fall far from the"'¦whatever we made a truce. We just had breakfast together. We broke bread, if you will, at the same table. Technically, I interrupted her meal and joined her and her guest. But still, we shared a piece of toast. I said "You know, Claudia, I live around here and you came here knowing I live AROUND here without calling me." And she said, 'I don't like you.' And I said, "I accept that...I understand'¦not many people do. But, I'm like a wine who needs to be aged and then savored. You cant have one sip of me and then you know'¦have the time of your life. You have to sip it slowly'¦swish the glass around'¦swish it. Smell it..you know I'm like a fine wine."...is what I told her. And she said, "That doesn't make any sense."..."True, true I might be a little drunk. But I still love you Claudia...I still love you." And that's what got her. Rob, I saw her face change. I saw the care come through. And we had a discussion. And I said, "Listen I ADORE your husband and I love you and your kin. I can't wait to watch them grow up and be something in this world." And she said, "Stay away from us, we don't want to see you anymore." And I said, "That's IT! I'm calling Rob." I mean I don't know how to get through to her. I mean the restraining order was one thing. It's piece of paper...it doesn't mean anything to me. Her friendship means something to me. And YOU mean something to me. Take it and stir it'¦stir it around in that brain.. and get back to me. (click)
