Bleak November

By Carrie-Ann Hernandez

Everything that ever was
Is everything and nothing.
All that could have been
Was, is and ceased to be.
The night has fled before me
And all that's left is a single star.
A star, a dismal trace of hope
That will forever shine on through '¦
Silence and nothing more,
Filled the night
With sorrow, gloom, and despair.
Dreams that were dreamt
Have long since faded
And dreams that never were dreamt
have become an everlasting nightmare.
My Eternal suffering and treacherous despair
Began and will cease in
Bleak November.

This poem was so full of feeling, and it had a rhythmic flow throughout the piece. I loved the lines about dreams, great use of metaphors.I could really feel your sorrow when I read this. Nice work.
