MAGIC Chapter 28

"Okay, you have to promise not to talk about this to Roger at all okay? He tells Trevor what you say to him you know."

"I promise. Give me the dirt."

"It's not dirt! It's not dirty at all, but our relationship moved a little further this afternoon."

They were sitting up in the cab of Melissa's Dad's truck. There they had excellent privacy. No chance of being overheard.

"Tell me. Tell me. Tell me," Selena fidgited.

Melissa's eye caught one of the two half-wild barn cats slinking along the mower pick up. "He asked me not to tell you anything more, to just say I'd rather not discuss it."

"But you know you're going to tell, so spill your guts."

"I told him Roger would never find out so you make sure that's the truth right?"

"On my honour. Tell."

"He touched me here."

"Under your dress?"

"No. Just on the surface."

"What did he say?"

"He asked me how I felt." She swallowed. "I said I liked it."

"Did you?"

"Like it? Yes. He was so gentle though, that I could hardly feel it. I liked the way he did it. It made me feel special and desirable and I liked him being so happy about such a simple thing."

"Well, maybe now he has got going, I expect that there will be new developments almost every day."

"I guess so. I guess that's the way boys are, but I wish not. It has been so wonderful. I feel Trevor and I have found a perfect island of innocence."

"You're sweet. Maybe too sweet to live in the modern world."

She began rubbing Melissa's shoulder and it felt very good. Her touch made the tensions of the day disappear. Like magic.

You had a very good job of conversation in this chapter. I would like to learn it from you if you like. Simple words have forwarded the story! Am I right?

Yep, I decided to make Melissa as imperfect as the rest of us.

Oh that double-crossing Melissa!! Can't really blame her though, I'd spill my guts to Selena too - anything to appease that scary broad. Very good, Ralph!
