I was just thinking this morning of what an amazing place this really is. I've only been here a few weeks, sure, and I haven't explored a tenth of what's around, but I'm quite blown away by what I have seen.

You see, I've spent over two years at an art site that accepts all forms, and I suppose I'm reasonably well known - but nearly entirely for my visual art. As much fun as I have, playing with photography and digital art, writing will always be my first love. The visual stuff was actually just something to distract me (and perhaps poke the muse into submission) when I was feeling blocked or uninspired.

And then - I stumble into this place. Where people actually read each other's work, and comment, and point out things that work, or don't...

Surely, this is all a dream. ;-)

So I just wanted to throw out kind of an all-encompassing "thank you". It's been a very long time since I felt my writing was worth anything more than shutting up the incessant voice in my head - the one that wants to tell me stories, and then insists that I write them down. I'm beginning to believe again that he might have an actual purpose (yes, my muse is a "he"). :-)
