girls are sucking cocks
& licking each other out
like ice-cream tubs
& they're all pretty
& fucked up; eyes either
blooming or pinned -
And Wagner's
Ride of the Valkyries
is playing in the background;
loud & horrific
like the cinematic
exhileration of war
that fills the screens
of Hollywood with fire -
And I wonder if they
still believe in love
or if they used
to believe in love.
And then I rememeber
that it doesn't matter,
I'm only supposed
To ride the explosion.
