The Bracelet
Nobody ever had the nerve to explain to her that she's not a super hero. As long as she didn't end up in any really hairy situations, we all figured it would be OK.
Besides, she looked kind of hot in the outfit.
Things took a serious turn for the worst on one dreary Sunday evening. A man with a hood pulled tight over his head approached us from behind. I could feel something jab into my back.
'Let's make this easy. Just give me your wallet,' he said.
Oh shit.
Just as I was turning to comply, she threw her coat off and faced the assailant.
'I think the only one who will be taking his wallet today is him ' taking it home,' she said.
The man fired a shot at her, which she attempted to block with her 'indestructible' gold bracelet.
'Shit. There goes your wrist, Karen'
