Endless Dreams

As I watch the sunlight in the morning,
Cresting over the mountains far away,
I see tiny birds begin their soaring,
Welcoming the start of a brand new day.

As dark clouds are forming o'er the meadows,
Filling the sky, and threatening to cry,
Faeries slumbering among the hedgerows
Awaken, and watch the lowering sky

These raindrops gently falling all around
Mix effortlessly with my falling tears.
When the lightning begins to strike the ground,
It illuminates all my hidden fears.

As I watch the thundering sky above,
A rainbow appears, and I feel God's love.

This has great imagery and emotion. I do agree with Mark, though, that the iambic pentameter would sharpen this up. As he pointed out, when you did use it, the flow was beautiful.

Thanks for the read. I felt like I was there.
