Forgiveness
A bloom of hate burst into flower
Like a pink shower on cherry tree in spring
All consuming, standing alone in my gaze
Blocking view of life and sunshine.
A fiery, freezing frost blasts the ground
Covering all with a blanket of crisp, white crystals
Blossoms and leaves shrivelling and shrinking
Snapping, cracking, shattering like glass.
Under the warmth of the golden orb moving slowly
The ice silently withdraws, but be not saddened
For in the quiet moments before the cold dawn
Forgiveness forged in the glistening rime
Hatred in a million particles dispersed and gone.
