Nothingness

As I fall, I wait...
To see if I am falling into nothingness...
Hoping if I have fallen from a cliff,
and the earth awaits me below,
I have a parachute to break my fall...
or if I have jumped off a springboard,
the pool below is actually filled with water...
and that I'll somehow learn to swim as I fall...
nothingness, falling, drowning...
it all feels the same in the end.
