Sleep Well

Sleep well, sleep well.
Dream of what I tell,
Unicorns that prance,
A pretty lady who can dance,
Kings and Queens in their royal robes,
Puppies with their soft, tiny toes,
Ponies that ride on the wind,
Kitty-Cats underneath your chin.
Beautiful music in your ears,
Words to take away all your fears,
Butterflies in their flight.
Sleep well, sleep well tonight.

It has the innocence of childhood. I can imagine this being read out of a beautiful picture book to my very own children. Lovely

I like how your poems come across. This is like a bedtime story for a child.
Another nice one. You come across as a caring soul.

This sort of reminded me a bit of that song from The Sound of Music. I don't know why, thats just what came to mind. That aside, I loved simply how cute this piece was. I cannot think of a better word. As I read over it again, I felt as if my father, or mother were perhaps reciting/singing this to me as a child.

You evoke so many images in just the first few lines, that it is impossible not to read on.

It leaves you smiling at the end. Simple.
