Officially a Person

You are now officially a person.
One that I have grown,
To love,
To nurture.
To show what my purpose was through your
definition, recognition, and hopefully,
love.
Will you return what I choose to give?
There is a golden quality in requiting and squinting against the denial.
Turn to me and say..
for a moment you held your breath in my sight,
that I made you see more than one way ..to be.
A laugh that cannot catch in your throat,
you see me and have to feel the joy..
carried through my arms and embedded in your heart.
A joy that God passed through us at that moment,
and you were born and we...
Were.
Forever shared in definition, recognition, and hopefully,
Love.
There is a quality in the selfless act of turning over to you,
God turning you over to me,
The World turning over so that we can be,
together.
Yet, you remain so far away,
so that when you come, there are the
fringes… of a stranger,
of the one who used to be my arch enemy,
a shadow that is now….
officially a person with definition, recognition, and hopefully,
Love.
Something that will take place and fill the void,
when we,
the ones who were born lachrymose,
are now here.... at home.

I like the way you have used 'definition, recognition, and hopefully,
Love.' throughout the piece.

Great Images. Loved the read.... :)

You have a nice touch. I liked the "fringers of a stranger" image.
