Cold Shoulder -Wee Stories # 13

Dad ignores the roast chicken dinner I prepared; it might as well have been cold shoulder of turkey instead. I smile at him, he scowls and retires early without saying goodnight. I should never have taken his last ten bucks to gamble and will give it back.

Ha, this is brilliant! It took me a second - just a second - for it to fully hit and I had to chuckle! Great answer to the challenge.

Harsh, but funny. Kind of makes you wonder who is most in the wrong in this piece, but there's only going to be one winner with 60k in his back pocket!!

Your take on 'cold shoulder' made me smile. Don't give up a cent but be sure to give him lots more turkey. Nice job. Ash :)

Great flash!
I read it with coffee and toast and it was a great way to start the day - chuckled at the end.
