No one ever told me life would be so hard.
No one ever warned me that I can’t do it on my own

I wont let them help me
I know how much it sucks….
To have everyone depend on you…
To help them when they are blue

Everyone’s problems I make my own
The only solution I find in my home
Locked in my room my only safe place
I turn up my music as though not to hear that he thinks I am a waste.

I sit on my bed, alone in my room
Crying my eyes out not knowing what to do
I bow my head and pray…
Just to make it one more day

I wish there were an easy way to get out of this hell
But before I get the chance to think
Someone is banging at my door

My sanctuary is ruined
Just a memory in my head
But still I am lying,
Helpless on my bed

I would ask for your help
I cant do it alone
But then you would end up just like me
Afraid of even living

So I will not ask you to help bear my burden
Its one I must carry on my own
I will just lay my head down
Ignore the screaming through the door
I wish I could fall asleep and never wake again

But I know it wont happen so I just give in
I sit there and take it,
Someday it might end.
So for now ill just fake it,
And make a good friend.
