Lets talk some blue

Let's talk some blue

Melancholy the it thing to do

all poets artists and singers do

don't let melancholy

occupy to much of your life

but then don't exclude it!

the dark thing that sleeps in you

play your music

lifting your soul high

the note of all harmonies

filling that glass of silence

with music

not wine

jumbled thoughts

which you express so well

yours words

attacking

in grey letters

no emotions left undone

in that dark place

i cannot see

keep using that pen

to express

the rage within

Sage advice, this. I agree with the reviewer who suggests this is prose-like (and I certainly don't mean that in a bad way), but it definitely carries some poetic language. "note of all harmonies" is particularly inspired. Nice work.

Really great piece. Captures the essence of why we write - how we write. Tapping into those dark places just enough to have them dribble out onto the paper one word at a time.

Hey Martina. Nice Piece. I like it. A little different from the usual, but some good words of wisdom never go astray. Well done... XX
