"True Life"

“True Life”

My Spirit muddled and wallowed about
Seeking the meaning of Life-
But all it found in the midst of storm
Were Aloneness – Confusion – and Strife-
It searched on the corners and mountaintops
Among the Low and the High
But all it heard in the breath of its mind
Was the sound of a sad, soft sigh-
Then I reached to touch that breath of a sigh
To give Balm to my troubled Soul
And felt Light replace the darkness within
And knew Warmth where once there was cold-
Then my spirit quit searching the far off places
For the meaning of Life-
For it felt itself wrapped in Living Love
Not alone or confused – but Alive-

I liked this one. I'm not one for rhymes, but this was different. It was much more professional than what I'm used to reading. Not to mention it wasn't sad, down, or depressing.

Brilliant work.
