Downtown
A street corner I cross
A guitar player plays
A coin I toss
Her eyes stray
A minor chord is struck
Her eyes so blue
I glance at my shirt, so un-tuck
I think I know her, if only I knew
I try to speak
She sings hello
All I emit is an inaudible creak
A man passes saying, 'watch it fellow'
I am in the way
She doesn't want me to leave
I must move; I mustn't stay
Her arms she heaves
Around my neck so vividly
Sadly I am shunned
If only I knew her so lividly
I think our journey has just begun
Up with the guitar
Down across an unknown street
Looking back at the meeting place which is so far
I whisper in her ear, how lovely of us to embrace, yet simply to meet.

This is really nice. I like how each of the paragraphs relate. Especially the first and last, with the street corner.

I like the romance in the rhyme, it reminds me of my first romantic poem, "Lady of the Sea", dedicated to a teenage crush.Did you write this poem after getting a little love in your mind and heart?Do you remember the girl who inspired you to write this poem? I still remember my romantic inspiration all those years ago.

I loved this. There are some hidden mysteries in there too (or maybe I just didn't work it out) but it appears as if the two in the poem may or may not have known each other. Also the line "sadly I am shunned" seems to suggest there is something else going on in there as well. Interesting read.
