dropped

I dropped my morals

in between the tiny crevices
of all the good my 'rents
tried to give me instruction on

life
liberty
something about the pursuit of happiness

in addition to the bullshit in the daily paper

i dropped my morals

right from the statuesque place
where my dignity ought to have evolved
but i lived happiness instead

Wii
Sony
my beloved I Pod

with those 'fones in my ears can't hear you at all

Now,
a hundred tiny lifetimes later
i'd like to know where my morals have gone

along with the rest of ya'll's

Junk!

where my morals once lived

ah mate, so so true! Have to say i think this is my fave of your poems. Its interestingly laid out, does not over-complicate the issue and the images/examples you place in this poem are relevent and up to date. Well done sugar! x
