Night terrors
Tremors of ill-ends
And rumblings of the failure
Of an immortal star
No thing
Lasts forever
Not even gods
Not even love
The anatomy of
Birdsong and bright days
Brought to life
To lighten
Dark heart, dark mind
Sparrows bathing
In the dirt
Duck movement
Through water
Salvation here.
Sun rising on a dark bank
The mind coming back
To the light
Both light and dark
Serve the purpose of truth
Cancel and combine
Wherein here
We met.

I like the title "Symbiosis"...I think it's reflective of the light/dark theme of the poem, of how the two intertwine despite their seemingly mutually exclusive nature.
