For all the things

For all the things I'm yet to do
the words I've yet to say
I light a candle in a darkened room
from which the light will spread.

I take a candle to light the shadows
of the path I'm going to tread
to keep the ghosts who hide at bay
and light me on my way.

For every candle that I burn
a lesson learned, a shadow lit
till I reach my journeys end
and the room is dark again.

Cool, this is such a commonly thought thought, about the journey we're all own, but simplified with perfect imagery :)
